*** NEW REQUIREMENT *** MEDICAL COMMUNICATIONS ANALYST WITH PHARM D OR RN REQUIREMENT #13-00790 RECRUITER: ANITA JORDAN JOB LOCATION: PARSIPPANY, NJ AUGUST 27, 2013 *** W-2 CANDIDATE ONLY *** Project Description: Under general supervision, serve as a drug information liaison between the company and customers, patients, healthcare professionals, and sales representatives. Function as the first point-of-contact requesters have with a company healthcare professional. Responsible for the accurate capture and timely response to a high volume of live and written verbal medical information calls. Responsibilities: • By utilizing medical knowledge and extensive in-house training, determine the correct medical response to each question and whether additional written information is required to be sent to the requester • Receive and respond to medical inquiries and requests for medical information, determine accurate response information, update any written responses based upon new medical information from product labeling, regulatory affairs, and published medical literature • Responsible for the accuracy and quality of final written materials sent to the requesters • Forward all information concerning adverse events or product complaints associated with company products to the Drug Safety and Quality departments • Search, find, and evaluate potential drug / medical information sources in printed and electronic formats to support providing responses to medical information inquiries • Interpret and apply Food & Drug Administration guidelines and regulations as they pertain to medical communications / medical information Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in nursing or pharmacy (PharmD preferred) or related field from an accredited college or university and 1 - 2 years of experience; experience can be appropriate internships or residencies • Experience analyzing problems, identifying alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions and implementing recommendations that support department goals and objectives • Experience researching, analyzing, and evaluating medical information materials, new responses received due to product labeling, regulatory affairs and marketing, and frequency and type of medical information requests received • Interpreting and applying medical information, instructions, policies and procedures and guidelines pertaining to medical communications and release of medical communications • Preparing clear and concise administrative and financial forecasting reports • Communicating clearly and concisely, both verbally and written Required Skills: Bachelor’s degree in nursing or pharmacy (PharmD preferred) or related field from an accredited college or university and 1 - 2 years of experience; experience can be appropriate internships or residencies This 6+ month position starts ASAP.
