#NUTSHELL – JANUARY 19th — TRANSFORMATION TO REVOLUTION – Acts 28:1-31: 1917: Russians Orthodox Church bishops were having convocation. It came to a heated debate with fussing and feuding. A few doors down the street, another meeting was going on. The Bolshevics were together plotting the overthrow of the Czar. This was the start of the Russian Revolution—the beginning of what we now know as Communism. What was the church arguing about while the Empire was crumbling around them? Candles. Were they to be 18” or 22” long? God calls us to be something greater than ourselves. It is through His power that we can be part of a spiritual transformation. The change must first begin within us. It must be a total transformation of our thoughts, actions, words and priorities. It is when others see an authentic change happening in our own lives that they begin to see something they want to know more about and be a part of. A real, authentic relationship with Jesus Christ is what you need to start. It is the catalyst for bringing about a complete change in your life and the lives of your family. When we begin to see personal change become family change, we will then begin to see transformation in our church, our community, our world. Paul began a revolution in the 1st Century. You have an opportunity to start one in this century. Every generation needs a new revolution. Will you have the courage to be a part of it, or will it pass you by?
