*** New Year Football Tournament - Total Football *** Round 1: Red Devils 7 (3) - (1) 7 Abbottabad United Harris Qamar showcased another one of his master pieces, once again proving that Football may sometimes not be a team game, as the Devils superhero singlehandedly drags Devils through to the next round. AD started in the goal with Hasnat and Bilal Liaqat in defence, Harris Qamar and Faizan Sameer in the midfield and Ahmed Saeed Butt upfront. Ammar was the only substitute available. On an absolutely forgetful day for the two defenders, it was Harris who kept bringing the team back from a goal down time and again till it finally went to a penalty shoot out. Devils started their first game of the year in the worst possible manner, conceding twice in no time, both times AD making a good save only to see no one coming to his rescue on the rebounds. With the likes of Harris and Butt on the field, the boys in red were always going to score and both combined well to bring Devils back to level pegging, Harris with a blasting finish for the first before Butt helping him angle in the goal with an excellent ball. The Abbottabad boys took the lead again though, and it was left to Harris to step up and score his third of the day and bring the score to 3-3. The game followed the same pattern till the final whistle, Abbottabad taking a lead and then Harris/Butt combining to bring the game back to square one. It ended 7-7, Devils conceding 6 times on a rebound, while Harris scoring 6 and Butt getting his first of the year. In the penalty shootout, Janu, Butt and Harris all converted while AD made a fantastic save first up to help Devils move to the quarter finals. Man of the Match: Harris Qamar
