#&*# No coffee today... maybe thats my mental block... Im starting to question whether giving is ever a good thing. Ive been donating to Ottawa FreeCycle for weeks now, probably over a grands worth (retail value) in goods that I could have sold online for a few hundred maybe. When I post that Im looking for a few CHEAP things, I get responses that dont match up with the request or recommendations on where to BUY the items (presumably because theyre inexpensive so I should just spend some cash). WTF is wrong with people? Last week I gave four hours (2.5 hours Skyping and 1.5 working on her file in preparation for a session the next day) of my time to a friend starting a business (when I only normally do one free hour consult with any client before theyre on the clock at $100/hour) only to have her completely waste my time by going back to some idea that she fell in love with that has NO business model and will fail. Maybe I should just not do anything charitable anymore. Im seriously at that point in my life where Im considering this idea. Oh, and dumb-ass next door is yelling at his dogs AGAIN. If he beats them this time, Im calling the cops. Enough already. #peace
