“No matter how hard we try to be mature, we will always be a kid when we all get hurt and cry” ― J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan The beauty of being a kid is that when you get hurt, you cry and then move on. The hurt is quickly forgotten. Somewhere along the way, we learn to hang on to hurt. We stop crying and we just use each hurt to build a wall that we think will protect us. Tears wash the hurt away and allow the wall we have built to tumble away leaving us exposed and naked to the world. Walls do not protect us from hurts, they only prevent us from experiencing all that there is to experience in the world around us. We trap ourselves and within our walls we rethink each and every hurt that we have locked inside with us. Tear down the wall and let yourself be free like a child. If you want to live life you have to experience it all and be open to everything that can happen to you. Good or bad. Just learn from the bad, cry if you must to allow the hurt to be washed away, and move on. We try so hard to be mature and for some reason think that means hanging on to hurts. Let them go and hang on to being a kid. Hang on to life. Hang on to love. And dont forget how to cry as that means youve forgotten how to be a kid. Always be a kid and LIVE every moment , LOVE completely and nakedly and LEARN to just cry and move on. Dont hang on to hurt. Have a happy Tuesday!
