** No offensive name calling is allowed! And do not look down on others! ** O you who believe! Let not some men among you laugh at others: It may be that the (latter) are better than the (former): Nor let some women laugh at others: It may be that the (latter are better than the (former): Nor defame nor be sarcastic to each other, nor call each other by (offensive) nicknames : Ill-seeming is a name connoting wickedness, (to be used of one) after he has believed: And those who do not desist are (indeed) doing wrong. (The Noble Quran, 49:11) First forbidden behavior is making fun of others in an offensive manner. Qurtabi (the famous Quranic commentator) defines this behavior as describing someone’s weakness in a ridiculous manner in order to humiliate him / her. It can be done in a verbal manner or in a non-verbal manner by using body language. Similarly, after listening someone, mocking at him / her is also included in it. Some scholars describe that the ridiculous behavior includes all ways of communication which result in making fun of a person in an offensive manner. All these attitudes are prohibited by the clear verdict of Quran…. The last king of India, Bahadur Shah Zafar said in his poem: When I was unaware of my own weaknesses I used to see the weaknesses of other people But when I started looking at my weaknesses I do not think that someone will be worse than me #never_make_fun_of_anyone_he/she_ might_be_smiling_ in_front_of_u_ #but_deep_inside_it_hurts!!!
