@Noma Kofi Baah, no one chooses his/her parents or country but everyone is free to accept his/her fate as it is or reject it in exchange for something else. If Im born by poor parents, must I accept poverty and be proud of my parents? What my parents did was what resulted into what the have become of which Im a part. Yes, Im the product of my parents just as we are all the products of Ghana and mother Africa. Indeed that is what we have and are. Im not just an African but a black one too. At sight, people judge me for what Im that what I am capable of doing. So far, it is human nature to associate us with success or failure and the story of my Africa is that of a failure. Remember, this has been the case long before my birth but Im judged by it. Im now call and treated African, which depicts nothing than wars, diseases, famine, drought, refugees, international debt, corruption, lies, lack of respect, no health and safety. Being an African mean I have accepted these vices and agree to be associated with it. The reality is, I cant tell people to call or not to call me an African. My job is, if I will not be a proud son of a father who is hooked to cocain and incapable of being a father to me, I will never accept being a proud African the way Africa is today. The question, who then solves the problem if he dislike it? I, Kofi Ali and that is what ECRA is out to address. The very ones who are complaining today about budgeting $20m for World Cup never saw any thing wrong with pride in falsehood. The big question is, what exactly is this football going to add to the life of the Ghanaian in value than fake vanity? Is this not because some of us believed in the kind of Ghana that continue to fail us, yet proud Ghanaians? Is this not the same as being proud of the Cedi just because of it status as our national currency than the value of this Cedi command? The Black Americans are proud of the USA because of the real value they are getting from the USA. The Black Europeans are proud of being Europeans because of the good life and privileges they enjoy in Europe. The foolish skinned malnourished disease infected Blackman trapped on the dark continent is being asked to be proud of what is killing him, than reject the curse to replace it with peace and prosperity. Im not proud of this vanity and falsehood, Nana Yaw!!! And if you are, then I have a problem with that.
