“Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’ - Matthew 7:21-23 NLT In our lifetimes, we will be able to fool a lot of people. There will be times when we will tell people one thing but think another. There will be times that we put on a good face even when we have a bad heart. But even when we have hidden our actions and feelings from everyone else there is still One that knows the truth. We can pretend to love and follow Him in public but He knows what we really do and where our heart really is and on that day that we stand before Him we wont be able to fool anyone. My prayer this morning is that we look not at how we act in public but rather our private relationship with the Father. Lets make sure He is able to recognize us when we reunite at His Sons return.
