(Nov 22) Documenting history from an Aboriginal perspective is important in terms of representing a distinct world view. This is the case with the new music documentary Brown Town Muddy Water by Jesse Green of StrongFrontTV. The program will explore the birth of a musical movement that occurred in the early to late-nineteen sixties within Manitobas Aboriginal community. The documentary will include footage of Billy Joe Green and the reunion performances by The Ranville Brothers and The Featherman that occurred last night at the Pyramid Cabaret. The documentary is expected to be completed by the summer of 2014. A big Meegwetch to Jesse and his crew for honouring history within the community eh.
