“O Allah, make 500.000.000 of the Greatest Veracious Ones (Akabir Siddiqin) and Knowers (Arifin) among the human beings as well as 1.000.000 Friends (Awliya) among the Jinns reach Your Divine Presence at my own hand. And make them reach You at my own hand without companionship (su’hba) or vision (ru’aya), but rather with eye glance (nadra) and effective will (himma). Strengthen my heart so that I if I look at any person with my heart and forward my effective will toward him, he will turn into a Knower immediately. (Rawd al-Mu’hib al-Fani) “O Allah, bestow upon me the gift of cutting off the time (tayy zaman) with the good deeds: so that the deed of every day [of my life] is worth the deed of 100.000.000 years, and grant me this reward in the Station of the Qutbaniya. And from this time multiply my deed 255,000,000,000 times whenever I remember You; in every multiplication, reward me on the ground of my opening in unveiling (mushahada), certainty (yaqin), love (ma’habba) and in all my states. And make me among those who enjoy the sweetness of trials the way people enjoy the sweetness of delicious graces. And grant me for Your sake the power to struggle against trials and patience more than any of the other poles—on the basis of the deeds multiplication that I have mentioned—being able to resist trials with might, sweetness, happiness, joy and satisfaction, without any hardship in the way of enduring ephemeral matters.” ~ a dua of Shaykh Ahmad Tijani that he made in the presence and promise of Rasool Allah reported from (Rad al-Mu’hib al-Fani) of his close companion Sidi Muhammad Mishri Sabai
