Sea to shining sea.” ―Katharine Lee Bates Question…When was the last time you sat under a spacious sky, contemplating a purple mountain or a wave of anything? Ah Ha! Well I did it this morning, and a couple of days ago and will again tomorrow….okok, I know, not fair…I’m kinda retired…but I used to try once in awhile before now. Thing is this is really a model for life as a whole I think. Our crazy wonderful world doesn’t afford, encourage or even sometimes seemingly sanction (say that three times fast) a life of brotherhood with a shining sea or anything else that isn’t a part of our mandatory hustle and bustle. Julia Cameron in her landmark book ‘The Artist’s Way’ suggest we make a date with ourselves…an actual appointment to play… ya… you need to find time to play with yourself... ☺ or just sit and contemplate beauty or sing a little ditty and smile or just take a little longer than usual deep breath and say Thank You Lordie for all that surrounds me. OK, enough said. I’m on my way to see a silly sandpiper (say that 3 times fast) at the Ocean . Hugs More Hugs Me
