#OHUN RUGBO BOOOOO!!!Alao-Akala may dump PDP. THERE are strong indications that a former governor of Oyo State, Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala, may dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ahead the 2015 general election. Though Alao -Akala was one of the leading contenders for PDP governorship ticket in Oyo State, Alao- Akala was fed up with the way things were going on in the party. Information gathered from a source close to the former govenor alleged that some members of the party were desperate to hijack its structure and do things their own way. This, the source said, was not healthy for the party, adding that Alao-Akala’s supporters may, as a result, force him to join another political party. The source added that the former governor considered as unfortunate, the way the national body of the party was playing along with those he described as desperate to take over the party at all cost. Alao-Akala, it was gathered, traveled to Abuja on Wednesday evening, after he got a hint that the outcome of the ward congress held on Monday was being manipulated by some people. Another supporter of the former governor said he was sure other supporters would definitely move with him to any party of his choice, if the appropriate authorities in the party fail to put things in order. He said Alao-Akala may dump the party because of the injustice meted to him at the two ward congresses held in the state. Meanwhile, the party to which Alao- Akala’s camp may likely defect to is yet to be made known, but there are speculations that Accord Party, APC and Labour Party (LP) may be wooing the former governor.
