***************ONLY TWO DAYS TO HELP THIS GIRL************* THIS IS A BIG ASK ON BEHALF OF ABT rescue who are desperate to try and secure a place for this girl .. Anyone who is prepared to help will have full backup and behavioural assistance! This is LOLA! She is not an Arundawn dog but I am desperate to try and help her ... the rescue she is with have tried everything and come to a dead end .. she is believed to be 6 yrs old, and has had at least 5 / 6 placements in her life which is tragic! She is not an easy dog to place as she appears to suffer from agoraphobia! Here is the information from her current foster home and the rescue .. After the death of her owner ... She was placed in a dog only home but they could not cope with her outside walking. Moved Nov 2013 to a home with a resident male. Dogs were separated as both dogs would not accept each other. Moved to foster December 2013 in Worcester where she stayed for 8 months. Whilst there the foster tried to socialise her but due to her being so vocal the lady was unable to find anyone prepared to help socialise her behaviour. In July 2014 she had to moved due to an operation on the fosterers hands (carpel tunnel). Whilst there she had to be walked on two leads to ensure she didn’t slip her collar. During her time in Chatham her walking was controlled but this took some months. As she displayed anxiety whilst out and still very vocal when meeting other dogs so no socialisation again. Lola stayed in foster in Chatham until December 23rd 2014 where she was rehomed to Kerry Wilkinson in Basildon. On December 26th they wanted her moved as she apparently snapped at her teenage son whilst giving her treats but when corrected she went straight to her bed. We supplied a crate where Lola was happy to get time out when she needed it. This is when I spoke with you early January and you also spoke with Kerry who declined help from Oli. 18th January we saw Lola on Gumtree as Kerry tried to dispose of Lola without contacting either of us. 19th January moved to Norfolk with older couple (70 ish) large garden front and back secure with locked gates and fencing. I stayed for two hours to settle her down and whilst she tore around the garden like a lunatic she settled down in the in the house and came to Edward and Pru for a stoke and attention. They took her for a walk and she didn’t stop crying and whimpering and seemed to want to run anywhere and everywhere whilst on the lead. When she saw ANY 4 legged animal she went bererk trying to get to them. Distraction didn’t work at all. They took her to a pet shop to fit her for a muzzle as they had a Staffy due to arrive on the Thursday from the RSPCA. Whilst in the Petshop she tried to attack two dogs. The Staffy arrived and they tried to walk the dogs and Lola got to the staffy and was on his back (a 6 y/o laid back dog). Lola will grumble when she wants to be left on her own but that’s it. If left she is perfectly happy and described as a perfect loving dog. No evidence of snapping although possessive of a stick and will jump at it (not accurately so has caught Edwards hand and coat). She has not displayed any food aggression. Lola displays anxiety and follows Edward constantly, the Staffy also displays anxiety and follows Pru so each human is currently with one of the dogs. Edward has tried a local behaviourist who is in New Zealand and they are at the end of their tether. I have no fosters available to me to help and Elaine I am in a dead end here with Lola who is fine on her own with no other animal around so a large garden in a pet free home seems to meet her needs so her anxiety can be worked on. Edward did say he felt she had agoraphobia. ____________________________________________________ THIS DOG CANNOT BE MOVED TO KENNELS! SHE HAS ALREADY SUFFERED TOO MANY MOVES - IS THERE ANYONE WITH THE EXPERIENCE AND TIME THAT CAN OFFER THIS LITTLE GIRL WHAT SHE NEEDS? We all know that we have little time and just one chance to get this right for this dog. Tragically, we cannot help all dogs, but some really get to us and we all feel that this dog has been let down by inexperience etc ... please pm if you can help and please do consider VERY seriously as this is a big ask and a big commitment PET FREE and CHILD FREE with big garden so she does not need to confront the outside world at this time
