#OPP #Essa #Thornton The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Nottawasaga Detachment is asking for the public’s assistance regarding an overnight call in the town of Thornton, Essa Township. On December 30, 2014, during the evening hours, the Nottawasaga OPP were called to two incidents, a Break and Enter and a Prowl by Night call. Police deployed regular uniform members, a K-9 Officer, as well as members of the Emergency Response Team but were unable to locate the suspicious person. The investigation remains ongoing. Police would like to work with the community and are asking Thornton residents to check their properties for unexplained footprints paying attention to tree lines and sheltered areas on their property. Police are asking anyone observing suspicious activity around their properties or within their neighborhoods to contact police immediately at 1-888-310-1122.
