(Oct 31) There were a lot of superheroes in the city today, including a comic book hero, Neal Adams (based in New York City) who is best known for creating some of the definitive imagery of DC Comic characters including Superman, Batman and Green Arrow. I particularly admire his 1960s newspaper series Ben Casey for the dramatic characterizations. Myself and three other guys heard inside stories from Neal for over a half-hour that included manic phone calls being received at 1AM and 2 AM over story direction, choice of inkers or if a charter should wear a hat (?) LOL. My inner comic geek was smiling ear to ear. The meet and greet signing took place at Raven Comics early this evening. Neil will also be at the Winnipeg Central Comic Con this weekend too eh.
