On Wednesday my medical oncologist found a mass in my left breast, after initially telling me that I was no longer a candidate for screenings. She has sent a referral for Diagnostic Screening. Date not yet determined, they do move at a Snails pace. BTW, I am not in fear, Que Sera Sera. Scar tissue, OK, cancer, treat it. I attended a Memorial the next day for a good friend who faced Neuro Endocrine Pancreatic Cancer for over 10 fruitful years. I clearly understood the will to survive cancer is far more important than the Stage 3 and 4 diagnoses. Sadly some oncologists go by the statistic books and refuse further intervention. Happily a Cancer Support Groupsuch as the ones I attend both SDCRI and Scripps encourage life and living. I am happy to participate amongst people with an intention to survive. The attached Video is a classic examples how the determination of a peoples to survive is stronger than the attempt to end its survival.
