[On once-saved/always-saved...] All the biblical imagery of God - TopicsExpress

[On once-saved/always-saved...] All the biblical imagery of God as a shield, strong tower, and defender should squash the “conditional security” bug into a little gooey mess. If God is your “strong tower,” name one power that’s going to break through and drag you out of your saved position. Is he a strong tower or a strongish tower? When Jude wrote God “is able,” he used the Greek word dunameo, which means “he has the power.” God has the power do what? “To keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy” (Jude 24). The same omnipotent arm that spun innumerable stars into orbit and packed mind-numbing energy into every thimbleful of matter, the same Almighty hand that shattered the bars of death to raise Jesus from the tomb, the Lord God Omnipotent himself, has signed in blood an oath to preserve you for his heavenly Kingdom. You may fail ten thousand times, but God can do anything but fail. ~from GRACE INTERVENTION, coming Jan 1 for your New Years Resolution Reading. Only 62 days! Heres the preorder link: ow.ly/Dh1t5
