~ On the ride home from dinner tonight, Lia was telling me that, at school today, she heard Johnny Cashs cover of Hurt on one of her teachers radio stations. I told her that I used to get into arguments with people about that song because many thought that Trent Reznor was covering Johnny Cash and not the other way around. I also told her that, years ago, I was fortunate enough to see, on YouTube, the making of the award winning Cash music video for that cover. It was an incredibly powerful 5-minute description of pain, art, and the creative process. I always loved telling the story about the making of that video because it was so fascinating. But, sadly, that mini-documentary was removed for copyright violations years ago, and all that remained was my memory of it. Lia was so taken with my story of the making of the video, that she wanted to watch the video itself. So I just found it for her. BUT, because it had been years, and because the interweb always changes, I also did a search and saw that someone had put back online, the making of video.
