***One in Christ*** In Luke, Jesus was explaining to the Pharisees, that the miracles He was doing was from the “Finger of God”. The power was God! The Pharisees were trying to say His power was coming from Satan. Christ response is so awesome. Why would Satan cast himself out of something destroying himself? This is so true for us as well. Christ was not only making a statement to the Pharisees trying to get them to see Him as the Son of God, but to tell us that we as followers of Him need to be “One body in Christ”! We need to put aside our differences in how we worship and how we do things as a church and really focus on furthering His Kingdom. My friend Elder Lewis told me something that I totally believe, “We need to find our common graces and move forward from there!” How true that is, we all believe in God, Christ and the Holy Spirit, who dwells in each one of us! Through the Holy Spirit, Christ will give us all the vision, plans, and supplies we need to further His kingdom and reach the lost. It is a choice, are we divided or we are as “One”! Luke 11:17 NKJV But He, knowing their thoughts, said to them: “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and a house divided against a house falls. ***Need people to donate backpack supplies for our “Third Annual Back to School Celebration” please drop off at church before Friday, 8/8/14*** Join Faith Builders Community Teams this this week. We are meeting tonight 8/4/14 Monday, Wednesday 8/6/14 and Friday 8/8/14 this week at 5:30 pm at Faith Builders Church 4901 S. Howell Ave to pack for our “Third Annual Back to School Celebration” event this Saturday. If you have items to donate please bring them to the church during the packing times. We are usually there packing until at least 7pm. Then on Saturday, 8/9/14, join Faith Builders Church along with the Journey House and organizations showing Christ’s love to the people who live in the Clarke Square and Walker’s Point Neighborhoods’. We are having our “Third Annual Back to School Celebration”. All volunteers need to meet at the Journey House 2110 W. Scott St at 8:30 am. Please share and get the word out. We will be able to reach hundreds of people and show Christ’s love to each of them! Please wear appropriate attire for the weather.
