(Open, no powers) In 2178, the question Are we alone? was answered. Alien crafts landed on Earth. First in Nevada, then California, then Arizona. Slowly, over a period of weeks at least 70 craft had landed in every state in the U.S. Las Vegas was converted into a settlement of sorts. It became known as The District. Some humans still live there, but they are greatly outnumbered by the aliens, who were found to be refugees, fleeing from a war that had ravaged their planet. The shared their technology with humanity, and great leaps were made. Some people were predictably resentful toward the aliens, who were soon found to be called the Shameik, but any hostile action toward them was quickly made illegal. 2198, May 1st. A tall figure in a sand colored cloak steps through the gates of The District, the hood casting shadows that hide his face. He turns his head to look around the streets, seeing people and Shameik going about their daily business. He walks up to a stall manned by a Shameik with black and red skin. He puts something on the stalls counter and the insect-like creature points one of its long, slender fingers down the street and the man nods, then walks in that direction. He comes to one of the houses that had been constructed to provide additional residences for humans and Shameik alike. He knocks on the door and waits for it to be opened.
