#Opinion. To be clear, I dont support the postponement of the February 14 Elections. Yes! The atmosphere is tense, there is insurgency in the North East, the question of IDPs also pose a problem and many PVCs are yet to be collect but postponing the election is a No. INEC, the body charged with the responsibility of conducting election has reiterated that they can conduct the election even in troubled region so far the security of their staff is guaranteed. The PVCs collection is still ongoing. Apart from those who didnt see theirs, I believe anybody keen on voting would have gone to collect the PVCs. It will be utter delusion to expect a 100percent collection For the tension, it is normal. The security agencies should be on high alert to forestall any eventualities. Postponing the elections will not only cause disaffection and suspicion, it will affect the economy greatly. We already have dwindling oil revenue, the devaluation of the naira is taking toil on the masses. Investors are also wary because they are not sure of the political stability of the nation during election period. Political parties and their candidate have spent a lot in campaigning for their candidates. If you postpone the elections for 6months, they will have to begin again. Let the election continue. If it will be our doomsday, so be it. If there is chaos, it can be buffered on time. Daz ol Happy Weekend folks
