“Our Anchor” We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm (sure) and secure (steadfast). It enters the inner sanctuary (the presence of God) behind the curtain (veil). Hebrews 6:19 Our hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness. For we who believe upon the name of Jesus, it is the substance of things we have hoped for and the evidence of things we have not yet seen. Jesus! Jesus! Jesus! Because Jesus has paved the way for our hope, we can live for tomorrow. He is the forerunner of many having become the High Priest forever (Hebrews 6:20). Jesus justified us by our faith in that He is the Son of God who paid the penalty for our sins by His death, burial and resurrection. Our future is secure. He has given His Holy Spirit to live, abide and dwell in our mortal bodies as an earnest security that we may at all times enter into the very presence of God, “behind the veil.” Because our souls are anchored in the Lord, we are joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer (Hebrews 12:12). Lord God my Father, I thank and praise You for the glory of Your Spirit resting on and dwelling in me that gives me free access to You in prayer. I repent of my sins. Forgive me I pray, by the blood of the Lord Jesus, that my prayers are not hindered and my hope is secure in the in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ my Lord I pray. Amen!
