“Over the river and through the woods, to Grandmother’s house - TopicsExpress

“Over the river and through the woods, to Grandmother’s house we go…” This is a big day—and weekend—for travel. We thought it would be a good idea to share some tips for safe driving practices, whether you’re driving in snow and ice or rain. (We know; it’s not looking that wintery at the moment, but we can hope, and we can be ready when the weather is more normal for the season.) If you do have to drive and a white Christmas does happen, here is some good advice from AAA: exchange.aaa/safety/roadway-safety/winter-driving-tips/. And here are some additional resources from the folks at Les Schwab, who knows a thing or two about driving in Oregon: lesschwab/resources/winter-driving. But if the winter continues the way it has so far, chances are if your holiday travel is by your own vehicle, you’ll encounter rain rather than snow. For tips on doing that safely, see safety/articles/how-drive-safely-wet-roads. Be careful out there, and have a wonderful and safe holiday season.
