#PBevents Enjoy summer vacation with the various workshops in Powerbooks’ Fun Summer Activities. Immerse your kids in painting and hone their drawing skills in the Basic Drawing and Painting workshop facilitated by My Little Art Places. The program includes drawing basics, shading familiarization, introduction to color combination and vase, mug and teapot painting. The workshop will be on April 2, 7, 9, 14, 28 and 30 for batch 1 and on May 12, 14, 19, 21, 26 and 28 for batch 2 in Powerbooks, Greenbelt 4 that costs P5,000 for six sessions inclusive of art materials. Develop your kid’s numeracy and number fluency in the Singapore Maths workshop facilitated by Mathemagic Singapore Maths. The Singapore Maths workshop is divided into three levels: Visual Thinking Maths Module (for ages 7 to 12) where children will learn to use Singapore’s bar model technique in analyzing and solving word problems without using Algebra; Singapore Maths Preschool Program (for ages 4 to 6) where children will explore the wonders of Math through fun and developmentally-appropriate activities; and Visualizing Algebra (for ages 12 and above) where Algebra and the visual approach to learning it will be taught to students. These workshops will be held on April 5 and 12 in Powerbooks, Greenbelt 4 and Trinoma and on March 3, 10, 17 and 24 in Powerbooks, Greenbelt 4 with a workshop fee worth P2,800 for each category. This workshop offers three programs targeting students in all levels: Early Speedreading for Grades 1 to 3, Basic Academic Proficiency Program for Grades 4 to 7 and Basic Speedreading for Grade 8, high school, college, medicine and law students, and professionals. Each program is designed to provide readers with enjoyable reading and learning experience while having fun. The Speedreading workshops will be on April 21 to 25 in Powerbooks, Greenbelt 4 and on May 5 to 9 in Powerbooks, Trinoma. The workshop fee is P5,000 for five sessions for the Early Speedreading and P6,500 for five sessions for the Basic Academic Proficiency Program and Basic Speedreading. Hurry! Slots are limited only.
