🐾🐾PERRY IN THE POINTS!🐾🐾 Tuesday August 19, 2014 WOLVERHAMPTON reserve Tom Perry was delighted to bag his highest score in the Elite League as the side finally returned to winning ways. The 21 year-old scored eight points as the Parrys International Wolves picked up their first win in just over a month- beating Midland rivals Leicester 56-37. Perry was in positive mood after the fixture and admitted he felt like all of his hard work was starting to pay off. Me and my mechanic put a lot of time into things away from the track and its such a good feeling when you have a meeting like that, he said. My gating was a lot better and its slowly been getting there over the past few weeks. I still made a few slight mistakes here and there but the track suited me and I was able to pull it back by making a good couple of passes. We decided to change a few things with the bike and try something new and Im pleased we took the gamble in the end. I was really happy with my score and performance and I really enjoyed my racing again. The young Brit was also impressed with the performance of his fellow Wolves team-mates who picked up just two last places in 15 heats. Said Perry: It was a really good, solid, team performance and it was good to get a bit of revenge for what happened in the away fixture the other week. Jacob (Thorssell) was flying, Lasse (Bjerre) has settled in really quickly and Woffy (Tai Woffinden) got it dialled in as the meeting went on and looked like the World Champion again. With Piotr (Pawlicki) missing we knew wed all have to chip in with some big points and it was a great effort from all of the team. We havent got too many meetings left now but we will do everything we can to make sure we end our season on a positive note.
