***** PLEASE READ ***** SOUTHERN SOULS RESCUE COMPLETELY SUPPORTS DR. CREGORY CRANFORD OF DOGWOOD PARK. ITS A TERRIBLE SHAME THAT DOGWOOD PARK VET CLINIC HAS SHUT DOWN AND THAT COLUMBIA COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY HAS DONE THIS. Dawn Herring Cranford 10:57am We feel it only deserving to let those who have supported and trusted in us with the care of many animals especially the rescues...which is where our heart and focus has been the past two years at Dogwood Park, know where we stand today. As most of you know we have diligently been seeking the purchase of Dogwood from the Columbia County Humane Society. Our dream goal has been to expand beyond spay and neutering and that has been accomplished to an extent to include low cost full veterinary care, grooming and obedience training. In our past three years at Dogwood there has been a more than triple growth in animal care of rescue groups and clients. For these accomplishments we are more than grateful. However, we painfully and regretfully have to announce that CCHS has deceitfully and underhandedly sold Dogwood Park out from under us to Lisa Vaugh (vet technician) who Creg graciously brought in with him when he became head DVM at Dogwood. Needless to say this has taken us by total surprise as we were so close to meeting the goals needed for our own ownership. Due to this most devastating unfortunate decision by CCHS Creg has resigned as DVM of Dogwood Park. He will continue to serve the area at another facility as we start from ground zero to pursue THE DREAM which has always been and will continue to consist of a LOW COST full service clinic with overnight post op stay, grooming, training, supply store, boarding, dog park and an area to hold adoption events. This is where our hearts are so please send prayers, positive thoughts and well wishes our way! Feel free to share this info as I am limited as to who I myself can reach.
