*****PLEASE READ***** We have an amazing concert ahead of us and with one final push we could have a SELL OUT audience! I have a few things everybody could do to help with this: 1. Sell tickets - Can we ALL promote tickets to friends and family, neighbours, local music groups, Choirs, Orchestras, all those supporters who came to the Glam concerts over the years that may not be on any social media, email and text everyone you know! - please think sell sell sell! 2. Can you all print out the 2 posters (the images attached to this are ‘pictures’, PDFs can be emailed if you email [email protected] I will email the PDFs to you) and put them up wherever you can – libraries, shops, cafes, leisure centres, post offices, bus stops, absolutely EVERYWHERE!!!! 3. A charity shop in Pontypridd today agreed to change its window display to a black tie outfit and matching black and white ladies concert dress. They agreed to place posters in the window and pass the word around friends, family and more. This is because the lady in the shop has a brother who was on the original Glamorgan Orchestra, Violinist Bryn Harding, and was thrilled to hear about the concert. There are so many people out there who do not know about the concert and if EVERY charity shop across Caerphilly, Merthyr, Rhondda Cynon Taff, Bridgend, Vale of Glamorgan and more changes their window display and promotes our concert then there’s a good chance we could reach even more people who would love to be part of this concert…Just an idea, please try it out – imagine the publicity we could get and also help the charity shops too! 4. Media contacts – Please can ANYONE with ANY media contacts please email me phone numbers, names and email addresses so that we can get some media coverage. [email protected] EVERYTHING considered; Radio, papers, local, national, TV, EVERYTHING!!!!! Why don’t YOU tell them all about the concert? YOU report it to your local paper, phone up your radio station and get it plugged! What does it mean to YOU? Why are YOU taking part? WHY is it so special? Tell them about the concert, tell them when and where it is and tell them 5 decades of past Glam players and singers will be arriving from AROUND THE WORLD to perform! 5.JOB: I have all the elements of the programme to put together but need someone with time and skill to prepare and design it as it will need to go to the printers VERY soon.
