*** PLEASE SHARE *** Since we lost Lola, I have been doing a lot of research on urban coyotes as well as speaking with our local Animal Control about how I can keep my other pets safe. In response, the City of Frisco is hosting a Q&A Session regarding coyotes and why they are THRIVING in our area. They are bringing in a wildlife control professional to answer questions, but also educate us on how we can reduce the likelihood of coyote interaction in our neighborhoods. Im telling you, these coyotes...they arent afraid of us anymore. And this is a problem. Not just for pet owners, but for the ecosystem overall. Why should coyotes eat rabbits, mice, rats or squirrels when they can easily jump 6 fences and eat whatever is trapped (such as our pets) in the backyards? Its faster and easier to eat them instead of hunting rodents...which will soon result in the rodent population increasing dramatically. Everyone is invited to this session. Please come and learn what you can do to help get the coyotes back to being afraid to come to our neighborhoods...because right now theyre LITERALLY walking around our sidewalks like they are the thugs of the animal world...next theyll be smoking cigarettes and trying to date your daughter. The meeting is being held at Christie Elementary next Monday, Nov 17th at 7pm. Please share so all our neighborhoods know about the meeting and can find out what they can do to get the coyotes back to the fields / woods / wherever they live. Anywhere but our neighborhoods...do it...before its too late and youre calling one your son-in-law!
