***PLEASE TAG AND SHARE*** ***HEATWAVE CONDITIONS POSSIBLE*** ***SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH SUPERCELLS POSSIBLE*** This Thursday is looking like a significant storm day for us here and in the south east with a 10 to 25% chance of supercells for the South Burnett, this increases to near 100% for Brisbane and the South East Coast. Temperatures are also expected to rise with temperatures up to 39°C possible in our forecast district, the primary threats from the thunderstorms are at this stage: • Frequent and deadly cloud to ground lightning • Heavy rain leading to flash flooding • Very large hail possibly greater than tennis balls • Thunderstorm wind gusts up to 120km/h • Isolated tornadoes and waterspouts Waterspouts can come ashore and turn into tornadoes, we saw this with Oswald early last year. image source: BOM & BSCH bom.gov.au bsch.au -Chris-
