[PM Message] 2 Kings 4_ Elisha had an amazing ministry. He was a prophet. Twice the blessing & anointing as Elijah. He set up a training school for prophets. He meets a widow who is in trouble... She has huge unpaid debts. This meant her sons would be taken and sold as slaves until she can pay it back. Elisha performed a miracle with unending oil... So much so that she had to borrow MORE from her neighbours... More pots & pans to fill with oil. This miracle paid off her debts and then gave her MORE income to survive. Until youre hungry... Until youre thirsty... Until youre desperate... THEN youll have that miraculous, life-changing encounter with God. Elisha gave a crazy sounding instruction... But the widow listened and obeyed. The widow gave God her emptiness. WE need to give our lack to God. We need to ACT. Whatever God says... DO IT. The Shunemite woman was rich. She had no problems. She couldnt even see what she lacked. And WHEN the prophet DOES point out her childlessness... She says Dont get my hopes up! Dont make me laugh! She needed to push out. WE need to expand our horizons.
