*** PRESS RELEASE *** Date: January 03rd, 2015 No: 15-01 Subject: Armed Robberies Suspect: Black Male, 30-40 years of age, 5’07-5’11” 200-220 lbs Vehicle: Newer Gray Hatchback - see photo On Friday January 2nd, 2015 Racine Police responded to three different armed robberies of local businesses. The first robbery occurred at the Family Dollar 3701 Durand Ave at 10:20 a.m. About two hours later the Family Dollar at 3919 Washington Avenue was robbed. The final robbery occurred at Bohl Automotive, 2525 Douglas Ave at just before 5:00 p.m. The suspect description in all three robberies is very similar. The suspect is described as a black male in his 30s, approximately 5’07”-5’11” and about 200 lbs. The suspect had a well groomed beard and a bald head. Photos from the two Family Dollar robberies are attached. They appear to be the same individual wearing different clothing. In all three robberies a weapon was implied and threatened but not displayed. There were no injuries as a result of the robberies. No suspects are in custody at this time and the incidents remain under investigation. Racine Police investigators are interested in any additional information that you may have about these crimes.
