** PRESS RELEASE** May 13, 2014 9:05pm As of this press release, the incident at the north bound I-85 weigh station at the 9 Mile Marker is still on going and there is NO THREAT to the public at this time. Crews worked tirelessly today to attempt to resolve the leak from the affected tanker. Unfortunately, we were unable to resolve the leak due to unusually high temperatures and conditions. Crews will return to the site tomorrow to attempt to stop the leak and transfer the product from the affected tanker into the new tanker. Responders from across the region are working together to maintain a safe environment and will remain on-scene throughout the night to monitor the leak and take corrective actions should the leak become worse.
