#PROJECTMAANZONI Greetings members On the weekend we officially opened the Kasovya Project and handed it over to the School for use. On the same day, the women rep Dr Susan Musyoka proposed that we build a gate for the school worth 100,000/= and she led us through an impromptu Harambee whereby she gave 20,000/= and the members from both MITABONI OFFICIAL PAGE and Keeping Machakos County Leaders Accountable gave cash 16,000/= so the amount that was raised on that day was kshs. 36,000/=. KMCLA promised to raise 30,000/= to add on to it so that the total is 66,000/=. We, as MOP were told to look for the remaining 34,000/= to make it 100,000/=. We held a meeting on Sunday the 28th and decided that instead of bringing the issue here, the members who were at the very Kasovya function would pledge the amount and ensure they send their pledges by the end if the month. We did this to avoid blocking the Project we want to undertake at Maanzoni. In this regard, we directed the head master of Kasovya Primary to one Mr. Amos Waita to ensure parents raise 10,000/=. We therefore remained with 24,000/= to raise. Our ward rep Hon #philip_kitoo gave us 4,000/= so the balance was 20,000/=. The Members who were in the meeting pledged 6000/= so the balance am seeking from the members who attended the launcheon NEW KASOVYA PRIMARY SCHOOL is 14,000/=. If you wish to support this noble project you can call me through my usual number 0706 830 818 and you will have a period of one month to raise your pledge. #PROJECT_MAAZNONI_BACKGROUND Maanzoni Primary School is a public Primary School located in Maanzoni Village just above Kwa Ali Market about 1/2 a kilometer from the Shops. The School had two latrines one for boys and another for girls but unfortunately one has sunk and now they are sharing the only latrine available. Fortunately, there is a pit in the School which had been dug by CDF 2 yrs ago, they had started building it and only 4 courses remain for it to be raised above the ground. This is the pit we want to complete. We have observed all the protocols as advised by our ward rep and we have been given the nod to go forth with the project. We have done a letter to the Chief, The current CDF office and the original is with the School. We need to start the work before rains start and the proposal is that we start sending our contributions today. We are also requesting members to commit themselves to this project and ensure we will finish within one month. THAT IS, WE HAVE ONE MONTH TO FINISH WITH IT SO THAT THE KIDS CAN USE THE FACILITY. Lets do simple math, We are 2152 members if each was serious and gave 100/= only , we would get 400,000/= today and we could do even 3 projects If 1000 nmmembers were serious and send 200/= we would get 200,000/= today, finish this project and start another one. if 800/= were serious and gave 200/= we would get 160,000/= and finish this project today without feeling any pinch.
