They believe this is the first time in the world such a project from a Visual Kei band in collaboration with a live orchestra and choir has been initiated and they are using Indiegogo, a funding resource to convey their message and reveal the crowdfunding project to the masses. We found out about crowdfunding not too long ago, and something clicked in our head. This is it. This is how we are going to bring our music to the Visual Kei fans all over the world! We strongly believe that Visual Kei bands, one of Japan’s most valued cultural icons, can become an all inclusive work of art. While following the traditional Visual Kei style, our show incorporates video projection, story-telling, dancing, audience collaboration onstage and all kinds of theatrical entertainment along with our signature symphonic rock sound. [ABOUT] Lacroixs core musicians consist of two vocalists with a flutist and oboist joined by a band, full orchestra and choir in combination to form our characteristic epic symphonic metal sound. So far we have released several CDs from our own indie label domestically, and outside of Japan, we have garnered the support of our vastly growing international fanbase, predominantly from South American countries such as Mexico and Brazil where symphonic metal music is widely accepted. Video Game Orchestra is a Boston-based Rockestra, created & produced by Shota Nakama. The epic project consists of a rock band and full orchestra of finest talents performing their own arrangements of popular video game music. VGO has performed at numerous renowned venues and events such as Boston Symphony Hall, Paramount Theater, Shanghai Center of the Arts, Taiwan International Convention Center, PAX and many more.
