***Pet(s) of the Week!*** Introducing Gryson and Seelie, our two most recent Dukes Fund recipients! Gryson came to us in November as a stray, and upon arrival it was clear he needed extensive medical treatment. He had a badly injured leg that would require several weeks of healing with regular bandage changes. While he put up with his treatments like a champ, often purring through the whole ordeal and giving affectionate head-butts, the wound was too large and not healing well. As a result the difficult decision was made to amputate his leg. Gryson may be short one leg but he more than makes up for it with his incredible personality and adaptability! Hes extremely affectionate and loves to be pet and cuddled! Hell express his affection through thunderous purring and nestling his head under your chin. Gryson would do well in a quieter household that understands his mobility challenges and can offer him a calm environment. As he is currently in foster care he is available to visit by appointment only on Saturdays, however if you are interested in meeting this superstar give us a call at 519-824-3091! Seelie came to the shelter as a stray in December. This beautiful sweetheart was scared at first, but with some time and patience she soon realized we wanted to be her friend. As a result of dental disease it was determined that Seelie needed a dental cleaning as well as a tooth extraction! Seelie loves to be pet and enjoys curling up on your lap! Being a Siamese she can be vocal at times but its just her way of saying hello!. This adorable diva loves being the centre of attention so would do best in a home with no other animals and no young kids. If you can offer this beautiful kitty a forever home to call her own then come meet her today! Special note: These life saving surgeries were made possible by generous donations to Dukes Fund, a fund that helps us cover costs for extensive medical care above and beyond spay and neuter procedures. If you wish to donate to this fund to help out animals like Gryson and Seelie please call us at 519-824-3091 or visit https://canadahelps.org/en/charities/the-guelph-humane-society/
