*Please Read* The contents making up this article were leaked to the Western Mail by one of the councillor recipients that it was sent to last week. Please take time to read the article and these further comments. Geoff Haden (Owner of Dylan Thomas Birthplace, 5 Cwmdonkin Drive) would make the following points about the article 1. I am not pitting Swansea against Laugharne. Both, like all other associated places have importance in the story of Dylan Thomas. - My point is that Swansea was where Dylan lived for 23 years and wrote two thirds of his published work - The exhibition is in Swansea and should bring this fact to the forefront. The Birthplace has a very good relationship with the Dylan places and people in Laugharne and we run two centre tour groups there. 2. Just how will 5 Cwmdonkin Drive feature more strongly? The last time a member of the current DT Centre staff was at the house was ten years ago pre-renovation when it was described as a bad student bedsit. Portrayal of the house in the refreshed exhibition was the second point of our correspondence. As of yet we are still waiting to be approached for fresh and up to date imagery of the birthplace for inclusion into the exhibition. It is of major importance that all information is current and correct. 3. Until yesterday the new Head of Culture was not aware of the exhibition Visit Swansea Bay, Mumbles and Gower Tourism Swansea Bay Dylan Thomas 100 #DylanThomas #5Cwmdonkin #Swansea
