#Poetry MY WIFE DOES NOT LOVE ME ANYMORE My wife does not love me any more Her affections have gone cold Her shoulders are just cold The food she lays for me is dead cold On the bread I can see a green mold This is what I have come to behold Have i made a big blunder What could be wrong with her I wonder Am I really the offender What God joined together is falling asunder But we made a vow to love each other From the day we met until we grow old In the life here on earth and in the life yonder And until death do us part Now we live together like cat and rat Could she be seeing someone else Is it time to ring the alarm bells Has a stranger sneaked in and lured her away Could she be harbouring a big grudge I don’t know my mind runs riot Between us there is no more trust She gives me the silent treatment This is for real not a figment Of my hyperactive imagination The woman has withheld her body from mine She refrains from my love’s embrace Her thighs no longer supply the warmth To satisfy the passion of my flaming lions Our matrimonial bed is cold and lonely Like a concentration cell in Siberia She turns her back against my face A large pillow splits us apart A gulf lies in between us Like an gully site in the hinterland I am left feeling high and dry Should I confront her I ponder My wife is the bread winner of my home She works in a building shaped like a dome Her job is lucrative I have none She brings in money at the end of the month If she leaves me I will be all alone No one to help me No one to run to But things can’t remain like this I need to man up and become bold Arise from my slumber and hit the streets To make money and buy her fine gold Then her love will increase by tenfold The sparkle in her eyes will come back And into my arms she will run back I want her back in my arms because I need her to bear my children I need to procreate and raise me a lineage One that will carry on my legacy I need to be up and doing but Right now I am sad and gloomy because My wife does not love me anymore. mynaijastories/wife-not-love-anymore/
