-Police in Kamukuywa, Bungoma County are looking for a woman who has gone into hiding after blocking health officials from immunising her children claiming that the polio vaccine was lethal. The illiterate woman from Nabikoto village has been on the run for the last three days with her children to avoid getting the vaccine. According to a neighbor, Ann Nafula, this was not the first time the woman had fled the jab. Nafula said that the woman flees her home every time health officers launch the exercise in the area. The mother of three claimed that polio vaccine will kill her children and had vowed not to allow her children to be vaccinated. While confirming the incident, Kimilili Ministry of Health Officer, Mutoro Wambasi, directed the police to look for the woman and ensure the children are immunized since it is very important. Mutoro explained to the residents on the importance of the jab to children and appealed to them to cooperate with the officials to make the exercise a success.
