***Preserving Your Generation (Part 4)*** RISING ABOVE LIMITATIONS (Part 1) Exodus 2:1-22. Moses was a great man. God used him mightily to do tremendous things. Moses was a special child, a child of hope, a son of destiny. He came into the world when other babies were leaving prematurely. He stepped into the world when others were slaughtered and killed because of the order from Pharaoh. Now when he was born, his mother knew that he was an extraordinary child. She saw something unique in him. In Exodus 2:2, some versions of the bible described him thus: KJV: …he was a goodly child… BBE: … he was a beautiful child… DBY: … he was fair… WEB: … he was a fine child… Also, in Hebrews 11:23, the bible states that “…he was a proper child;” So many nice comments! Imagine if your mother had told you that when she gave birth to you, five (5) great prophets came and said wonderful things about you. I guess you will carry yourself like a great treasure. Most times, we want others to tell us how beautiful and powerful we are before we can really believe in ourselves. Looking at the descriptions above, one would wonder what kind of child Moses was. There is no doubt, he was a special child. From the life of Moses, it is certain that no one was created empty. We all have our uniqueness. What limits people in life is their inability to see the greatness of their destiny. The mother of Moses was wise enough to see what her son was carrying – an uncommon destiny. She wasn’t careless about him. Even in the midst of danger, she secured her son. To rise above the limitations of this life, you must picture your future and see greatness in you. Other people may not see it, but God has deposited it there. So what can you see? Have you ever taken time to pray and inquire from God about those hidden treasures in you? Have you taken time to discover your destiny? What have you seen concerning yourself? In rising above the limitations of this life, your spiritual insight matters, it is very important to spiritually look into your life and define yourself by yourself. See yourself from the spiritual point of view. Spend time with yourself, study yourself and talk to yourself. You will surely rise above whatever hindrance that is drawing you back.
