*Program: *Government-Watch | Political Democracy and Reforms *Location: *SDC Complex, Ateneo de Manila University, Katipunan Ave. Quezon City *Position: *Project Associate? full time *Duration: *Six Months (Renewable) *Report to: *Program Director *Project Description and Objectives:* Government Watch (G-Watch) is the pioneering social accountability program of the Ateneo Sschool of Government that aims to contribute in the strengthening of the bureaucracy through systems improvement and enhancement of transparency and accountability facilitated by citizen-government engagement. Political Democracy and Reforms (PODER) is the institutional development and reform program of the School that engages in action research and advocacy to strengthen and reform three key political institutions, namely: the Constitution, the electoral system and the political party system. *Scope of Work* The Project Associate is responsible for providing administrative and technical assistance to the Team. Specifically, the following are responsibilities and tasks of the Project Associate: - In general, take charge of the operations and the administration of selected projects/ components of projects of the Team; - Coordinate and orchestrate the implementation and reporting on selected projects of the Team; - Coordinate the arrangement of meetings and other functions necessary for the implementation of the assigned projects; - Prepare necessary correspondence with partner government agencies and civil society organizations; - Prepare technical reports on the assigned projects; - Conduct data-gathering and data-processing activities for related projects; - Assist in preparing financial proposals for related projects in collaboration with the rest of the Team; - Attend outside meetings and functions related to the programs of the Team; - Assist in linkaging, coordinating and communicating with the broad network of the programs of the Team; - Assist the Program Director in the performance of her tasks and responsibilities; and - Receive and perform delegated tasks from the Program Director. *Qualifications* The *Project Associate *must have the following qualifications: - A graduate of political science, sociology, economics, philosophy or any related social science courses; - Capable of handling coordinative and administrative tasks systematically and with focus and due diligence; - Is competent in technical writing and basic information management; - Capable of conducting data-gathering and data-processing; - Can easily interact, network and coordinate with people and political personalities coming from various political persuasions; - A work experience with similar job description is a plus; - Research and writing background or working experience is a plus; - Strong interest in politics and governance and strong passion for democratic ideals is a plus. *Requirements for Application:* For interested applicants, please submit: - An application letter addressed to: Dr. Antonio G.M.
