{Promenade} Glass saga. White Square Business Center. A small area of neatness and architectural purity recently appeared near the Byelorussky Station. The three diagonally-arranged high-rise buildings (two of fifteen storeys and one of six) were designed by the Russian ABD Architects Bureau and APA Wojciechowski Architekci fromPoland. The noble shapes, the dynamic thrusting of the “flat iron houses” in the same direction, and their black and sandy colors, all create the atmosphere of a European business district (like Potsdamer Platz inBerlin). The compositional center of the block is an Old Believers’ church that has been preserved and restored, and which not only is not lost among the new office high-rises, but actually stands out by its whiteness and its pseudo-Russian style.
