#Proverbs 6:15 King James Version (KJV) Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly; suddenly shall he be broken without remedy. A naughty person, a wicked man, will be punished suddenly and severely. There will be no remedy or salvation for him. God will judge him for his folly and sin. God hates such a man, and He will crush him under divine vengeance. There are consequences to your choices, even if you hide thoughts in your heart where others cannot easily see them. King Solomon, the Preacher, wrote against naughty and wicked men [Proverbs 6:12-19 (AMP) A worthless person, a wicked man, is he who goes about with a perverse (contrary, wayward) mouth. 13 He winks with his eyes, he speaks by shuffling or tapping with his feet, he makes signs [to mislead and deceive] and teaches with his fingers. 14 Willful and contrary in his heart, he devises trouble, vexation, and evil continually; he lets loose discord and sows it. 15 Therefore upon him shall the crushing weight of calamity come suddenly; suddenly shall he be broken, and that without remedy. 16 These six things the Lord hates, indeed, seven are an abomination to Him: 17 A proud look [the spirit that makes one overestimate himself and underestimate others], a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, 18 A heart that manufactures wicked thoughts and plans, feet that are swift in running to evil, 19 A false witness who breathes out lies [even under oath], and he who sows discord among his brethren.]. These evil men have froward mouths [Proverbs 6:12 - see above], use body language to deceive and hurt [Proverbs 6:13 - see above], have froward hearts, devise mischief continually, and sow discord [Proverbs 6:14 - see above]. They are guilty of seven sins God hates [Proverbs 6:16-19 - see above]. This proverb is what God promises to do to these men. Consider the generation of Noah. A terrible calamity came suddenly! There was no remedy! Suddenly everyone was drowned! God saw that men were very wicked and the thoughts of their hearts were only evil continually [Genesis 6:5 (AMP) The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination and intention of all human thinking was only evil continually.]. Therefore, He sent a worldwide flood that suffocated every man, woman, child, and infant to death. Believe it! False teachers have lied about the God of the Bible loving everyone, so it is hard for even Christians to believe what the Bible does say. But the Holy God of heaven hates all sin and sinners, because His righteous nature despises fools and their wickedness. Solomon said so in the context [Proverbs 6:16-19 - see above]. His father David said so elsewhere [Psalm 5:5 (AMP) Boasters can have no standing in Your sight; You abhor all evildoers. Psalm 11:5 (AMP) The Lord tests and proves the [unyieldingly] righteous, but His soul abhors the wicked and him who loves violence.]. God will not put up with rebellion for long. Proverbs 29:1 He who, being often reproved, hardens his neck shall suddenly be destroyed—and that without remedy. Psalm 9:17 The wicked shall be turned back [headlong into premature death] into Sheol (the place of the departed spirits of the wicked), even all the nations that forget or are forgetful of God. Revelation 20:15 And if anyone’s [name] was not found recorded in the Book of Life, he was hurled into the lake of fire. Korah thought himself holy enough to compete with Moses, but God buried him and his family alive [Numbers 16:1-33 (AMP) Now Korah son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, with Dathan and Abiram sons of Eliab, and On son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took men, 2 And they rose up before Moses, with certain of the Israelites, 250 princes or leaders of the congregation called to the assembly, men well known and of distinction. 3 And they gathered together against Moses and Aaron, and said to them, [Enough of you!] You take too much upon yourselves, seeing that all the congregation is holy, every one of them, and the Lord is among them. Why then do you lift yourselves up above the assembly of the Lord? 4 And when Moses heard it, he fell upon his face. 5 And he said to Korah and all his company, In the morning the Lord will show who are His and who is holy, and will cause him to come near to Him; him whom He has chosen will He cause to come near to Him. 6 Do this: Take censers, Korah and all your company, 7 And put fire in them and put incense upon them before the Lord tomorrow; and the man whom the Lord chooses shall be holy. You take too much upon yourselves, you sons of Levi. 8 And Moses said to Korah, Hear, I pray you, you sons of Levi: 9 Does it seem but a small thing to you that the God of Israel has separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to Himself to do the service of the tabernacle of the Lord and to stand before the congregation to minister to them, 10 And that He has brought you near to Him, and all your brethren the sons of Levi with you? Would you seek the priesthood also? 11 Therefore you and all your company are gathered together against the Lord. And Aaron, what is he that you murmur against him? 12 And Moses sent to call Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and they said, We will not come up. 13 Is it a small thing that you have brought us up out of a land flowing with milk and honey to kill us in the wilderness, but you must also make yourself a prince over us? 14 Moreover, you have not brought us into a land that flows with milk and honey or given us an inheritance of fields and vineyards. Will you bore out the eyes of these men? We will not come up! 15 And Moses was very angry and said to the Lord, Do not respect their offering! I have not taken one donkey from them, nor have I hurt one of them. 16 And Moses said to Korah, You and all your company be before the Lord tomorrow, you and they and Aaron. 17 And let every man take his censer and put incense upon it and bring before the Lord every man his censer, 250 censers; you also and Aaron, each his censer. 18 So they took every man his censer, and they put fire in them and laid incense upon it, and they stood at the entrance of the Tent of Meeting with Moses and Aaron. 19 Then Korah assembled all the congregation against Moses and Aaron before the entrance of the Tent of Meeting, and the glory of the Lord appeared to all the congregation. 20 And the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, 21 Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment. 22 And they fell upon their faces, and said, O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin and will You be angry with all the congregation? 23 And the Lord said to Moses, 24 Say to the congregation, Get away from around the tents of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram. 25 Then Moses rose up and went to Dathan and Abiram, and the elders of Israel followed him. 26 And he said to the congregation, Depart, I pray you, from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing of theirs, lest you be consumed in all their sins. 27 So they got away from around the tents of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram. And Dathan and Abiram came out and stood in the door of their tents with their wives, and their sons, and their little ones. 28 And Moses said, By this you shall know that the Lord has sent me to do all these works, for I do not act of my own accord: 29 If these men die the common death of all men or if [only] what happens to everyone happens to them, then the Lord has not sent me. 30 But if the Lord causes a new thing [to happen], and the earth opens its mouth and swallows them up, with all that belongs to them, and they go down alive into Sheol (the place of the dead), then you shall understand that these men have provoked (spurned, despised) the Lord! 31 As soon as he stopped speaking, the ground under the offenders split apart 32 And the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them and their households and [Korah and] all [his] men and all their possessions. 33 They and all that belonged to them went down alive into Sheol (the place of the dead); and the earth closed upon them, and they perished from among the assembly.]. Haman was a rising star in Persia, but Ahasuerus suddenly hung him and his sons for naughtiness [Esther 7:9 (AMP) Then said Harbonah, one of the attendants serving the king, Behold, the gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman has made for Mordecai, whose warning saved the king, stands at the house of Haman. And the king said, Hang him on it! Esther 9:25 (AMP) But when Esther brought the matter before the king, he commanded in writing that Haman’s wicked scheme which he had devised against the Jews should return upon his own head, and that he and his sons should be hanged on the gallows.]. Judas Iscariot conspired to betray Jesus of Nazareth, but he spilled his guts on the ground in a violent death [Acts 1:18 (AMP) Now this man obtained a piece of land with the [money paid him as a] reward for his treachery and wickedness, and falling headlong he burst open in the middle [of his body] and all his intestines poured forth.]. If you want to be naughty in your life, prepare to receive the consequences from heaven! Read the news and see this proverb being fulfilled daily. Consider Princess Diana, Anna Nicole Smith, Marilyn Monroe, Janis Joplin, Clyde Barrows, John Lennon, James Dean, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, etc. The law of this proverb is as true as the law of gravity! How much longer will God tolerate this generation? How much longer will He tolerate your foolishness and rebellion? You are being warned! Do not stiffen your neck [Proverbs 29:1 - see above]! It is not too late, reader, if you can read this commentary with understanding and feel guilt, shame, and conviction in your heart! If you repent and turn from your sins, confessing them to God for the heinous acts of wickedness they are, He can and will forgive you. How? By the substitutionary death of a glorious and perfect Mediator—Jesus Christ [Isaiah 55:6-9 (AMP) Seek, inquire for, and require the Lord while He may be found [claiming Him by necessity and by right]; call upon Him while He is near. 7 Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to the Lord, and He will have love, pity, and mercy for him, and to our God, for He will multiply to him His abundant pardon. 8 For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, says the Lord. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts. Luke 13:1-5 (AMP) Just at that time there [arrived] some people who informed Jesus about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices. 2 And He replied by saying to them, Do you think that these Galileans were greater sinners than all the other Galileans because they have suffered in this way? 3 I tell you, No; but unless you repent (change your mind for the better and heartily amend your ways, with abhorrence of your past sins), you will all likewise perish and be lost eternally. 4 Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them—do you think that they were more guilty offenders (debtors) than all the others who dwelt in Jerusalem? 5 I tell you, No; but unless you repent (change your mind for the better and heartily amend your ways, with abhorrence of your past sins), you will all likewise perish and be lost eternally. Acts 2:38 (AMP) And Peter answered them, Repent (change your views and purpose to accept the will of God in your inner selves instead of rejecting it) and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of and release from your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.]! Go on stubbornly at your own peril!—
