Pulse polio: Door-to-door campaign begins today at Reasi REASI, JANUARY 19: Around 78% of the targeted 54921 children below the age of five years were administered polio drops on the first day of pulse polio immunization campaign here on Sunday. From today, the door-to-door campaign would be taken up in rural and urban areas. Chief Medical Officer-Dr Parminder Singh said 364 booths were set up for the first day of the campaign. He further added that a door-to-door week-long survey would also be conducted under search and immunization Pulse Polio Campaign.Around 30 mobile/transit teams would visit different areas to search leftover cases and administer Polio drops to those children, Singh said. Besides, mobile/ transit teams have also been asked to cover railway station, bus stands, taxi stands and base camp of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine and Shri Shiv Khori Shrine and for this, additional observers have also been appointed for monitoring.
