#Puraakau 3218 I was part of some Kaiako from TWOA, we had a day out training for the Waka taua. I trained hard to get place on the waka, after the morning training I had a seat on the waka. We made our way to the lakes edge jumping on the waka, I felt a little strange as I sat on the waka. Making our way out on to the lake, I felt strange as, not afraid but like something had my attention around that lake. I had a close mate with me on shore from Tuhoe, he said that for a minute he was unable to see me on board the waka for short time. Then as we were doing what we had trained to do on the waka, my friend looked over at me again to see me with a full face moko looking at him, I turn away ,for a minute then turn back again and it was gone. He told me lata what he had seen. I still felt uneasy so that night I googled the lake where this all took place, and my heart dropped as read the history of my Iwi,t hat had fought in a great battle there, with over 400 dead Of my iwi around that lake.
