++ Purpose of Marriage ++ Few days ago, I met my NS friend discussing my business ideas to him to get his feedbacks. It was a great session and lots of ideas were generated from the session itself. When the discussion ended, I asked him on when is he getting married? So yeah, mans talk, laugh a lot and joke about and suddenly we came into serious mode when I asked this question. Why do we get married? It took him quite a while to answer that. While he was thinking, I did some thinking too! For a while, I have no clue why or whats the reason of marriage. Why not? Statistically shows that Malay has a higher number of divorce rate, and I feel that this question is crucial so we know our reason and purpose of getting married. So he gave me his answer and asked me what would be mine. I told him, I just want inner peace. As a human, we felt something missing when we are alone, we need another human, we need someone to joke around with, no matter your age, we all need companions in our life. Thats my personal point of view. Because when I talked to the lady I admire, I feel peace & happy! Seeing her reply can make me smile. Yes, its Sunnah to get married. Yes, its strongly encouraged in Islam. But human nowadays dont treat marriage as a sacred bonding thus we dont see the value in marriage. Dont you think so? Its very sad to see many ladies around me are either divorced or single mums. Now why is that? What is the root cause of the problems? Are men the issue? Lack of knowledge? Religious knowledge?
