#Qtalk with TERENCE [paraphrased and translated from a situation brought forth directly to Q FM studios] I will not mention my name for the sake of anonymity. I have a problem and i need your help. My sister was being physically abused (beaten) by her husband.It was very obvious because whenever i would go visit her she would be swollen and bruised. She would deny ever been beaten though and when i would ask her she would always come up with excuses like she fell or something.She would always hide but even their neighbors would confirm to say they would hear noises coming from my sisters home and when they tried to probe nothing would be done about it. I also made an appointment with my very brother-in-law, my sisters husband and he too denied ever fighting with my sister. It is not until a month later that he beat her up really badly to the point she had to be admitted to hospital. I followed my brother-in-law to his house but i did not find him so i went to look for him at a bar i know he frequents and i found him. I asked him about the incidence and he was acting stubborn, saying he paid the bride price and that it was none of my business! We eventually got into a fight and i really injured him badly. Two days later, the family of the man (my in-laws) came to my home threatening me saying what i did was wrong because the two are married and i had no right to interfere or take personally their marital issues. They have taken me to court for two cases:- marriage interference and assault. I know i messed up but all i was trying to do was defend my sister. I followed my in-laws to their home to apologize and request that we settle our issues outside court but they refused.
