They will give me 5 days notice. Then fostering, rescue or adoption - any way to get him out of the shelter would work. He came in emaciated and we all fell in love with him immediately. He is heart worm negative, good with other dogs and children! Our fosters are full right now. Colorado has had some difficult years. One result is that he is blind in his left eye and is extremely thin. He is tall and very handsome. We will have this sweetheart neutered as soon as we build up his strength, He is usually quiet but when he does bark his beautiful bass makes us all smile. He’s good on leash and very people oriented. He is a noble hound. I am at capacity with seven rescues and five are special needs. Most of my team has a similar situation. So any option that would provide this nice hound safety would work. His personality and beauty have made it difficult for those that make the tough decisions to enforce his PSD. We dont want Colorado to end up back in the shelter!!! We are praying and keeping our fingers crossed that we find a placement.
