****RIP, BABY GIRL**** ****UPDATE**** This was posted on the rescues homepage about an hour ago. All About Animals Rescue UPDATE- From the good samaritan: From the time the baby was picked up in the middle of the street with 20 cars passing over her thinking she was dead or mayb they just didnt care; she went straight to the vet who immed gave her pain meds, valium to relax her and steroids to help with brain swelling. The effort to find the owner was to determine if the owner wanted to A) put her down, B) take her to Univ of Ga where they specialize in brain injuries, C) just be with her in her final moments. So she never went without medical care. In fact all involved did more than what was expected to save her. Seeing how she responded in the first 24-48 hrs was critical. Sadly, she had to be laid to rest this morning. She was seizing, multiple brain fractures were found, severe neurological issues. Thank u to all who prayed for this baby girl and your concerns. Bless the good samaritan who did a great deed and will have financial obligations as a result so please do not post negative comments. She did all she could and then some. As Chad said earlier it only discourages people from doing the right thing. The vet told her had she not picked her up and had she not been ran over again she would have laid there in pain and seized till she passed in the 90 degree temps. We know everyone was jus concerned and we are glad u are. We apologize for any misunderstandings on our end we have several FB administrators and someone may have misunderstood but she never went without the care she needed. R.I.P Baby Girl. I was the first one in and the last person at night to see everyone as I did the evening walk too. So I knew who was there the night befor n who was new. The worst thing to see when I came in in the morning was a new card on a cage that said HBC hit by car, often times they were gone. Dogs are just no match for cars, many dont even make it to the vet. When I was a kid there were no leash laws and we saw quite a few HBC but as towns began to have leash laws the numbers of HBC declined. Rest in peace little one people cared for you as best as they could, you may have died with strangers but everyone of them cared go easy little one.
