#RISE #SHAPESSUNDAY #ONDISPLAY #MARCH152015 It was around this time a year ago that we received some of the best news of our collective lives: we were going to record a brand new EP with producer Aaron Sprinkle. As huge fans of bands like Anberlin, Acceptance, Emery and Relient K, we were beyond thrilled to have such an amazing opportunity presented to us. We had been working so hard on new material, and knew that having a guy like Aaron at the helm would bring out the best in those new songs. So then we had to make it happen. Obviously none of this trip to Tennessee was going to be cheap, from the recording costs to travel expenses, and for a bunch of broke band dudes, it wasn’t an easy challenge to tackle. We feared that we would never get to record this EP, and the band nearly imploded from the stress of it all. But then YOU guys came in. Because of our Indiegogo and help from our AMAZING friends and family, we were able to raise all of the necessary funding to make it happen. That’s an amazing and truly humbling thing for all of us, and we can’t begin to thank you all enough for what you’ve given to our little band. Then June came, and we were Nashville bound. Those ten days were inexplainable. We couldn’t have asked for a better person to guide us into the next chapter of Shapes & Colors than Aaron Sprinkle. He was so encouraging, masterful at his craft, and constantly pushed us to make four songs that we’re all so incredibly proud of. Once we had finished, we knew that we had to match the effort developing those songs in the release of it all. So here we are now, a whole year after we began our journey of making our new EP, On Display. It represents everything that we’re about at this place and time. It’s a rebirth, a rebranding, a new perspective, and the most important music we’ve created thus far. On March 10, 2015, On Display will be available on all major digital retailers (iTunes, Amazon, Bandcamp, Google Play, Spotify, and more). We will be having a release show that Friday, March 13, at The Pike Room in Pontiac, MI with our friends in Alive in Standby, Get at Me, Carved Out, and The Timbre of Cedar. There you’ll be able to purchase the physical copy of the EP and help celebrate the end of one adventure, and the start of another… This show is EXTREMELY important for us. Not just for the fact that it’s our release show, but also because it’s our TOUR KICKOFF SHOW. Starting that night, we will be on the road with our new pals in Get at Me for almost a whole month. We’ve wanted to hit the road for so long, and now the time has finally come, with new music and new friends. Be sure to check out those dates and find our where you can catch us this late Winter/early Spring! Needless to say, we’d love to see all of our friends and family come out to this special event. From all of us in the S&C camp, we’d like to extend a special thanks to Aaron Sprinkle, Christian Skirmont, Caleb Beiermann, Aaron Loftis, Jacob Tender, Dan Isley, Brad Leonard, Jamie Gasper, Michael Meier, and anyone else who spent tireless hours helping to craft this EP. From the songs to the videos to the artwork, we couldn’t have done any of this without our amazing friends and family. On Display is out March 10, 2015.
