King James Word Usage tribe 140, rod 34, sceptre 10, staff 2, miscellaneous 4 Matteh is another Hebrew word for rod. This word can mean branch as a vine and is not used here. Maqqel, which has no meaning that can be applied here and is not used in this Scripture anyway. Choter, another Hebrew word, is branch, twig, rod and is not used here.
